Multiplex Flamingo – Selsley Common NW ridge – Spring 2019

After what seemed like a short winter the weather broke in early April 2019 to a few glorious days. This was the first time flying on Selsley in around 10 years! I’d moved away from the area for work and it was an absolute joy to get the Flamingo back to home territory. Some fantastic ridge lift and even a few thermals coming through. Here are some pics taken by Phil from the South Cotswold Soaring Association. Thanks Phil 🙂

Fast and low before deploying the brakes for landing. Even though the old Flamingo is a bit long in the tooth it’s still a great performer, even in fairly marginal lift conditions.
